Design and aerodynamics
General layout, internal arrangement of units, airframe aerodynamics and lift coefficients are calculated in SolidWorks and RHINO.

From the design concept to serial production: composite airframes, our own avionics and payloads that work in the field.
About the company
QAZDRON is a Kazakhstani manufacturer of in-house designed unmanned aerial systems, with its office and production base in Astana. We deliver an end-to-end solution for a wide range of civil and industrial tasks — from the initial design concept through to production and field operation of the finished system.
Learn moreOur mission
Our mission is to give our clients the most cost-effective access to information, using high-technology airborne systems.
Products
Each platform is built for a specific job: wide-area survey, close inspection, subsurface prospecting or long patrol.
Long-endurance fixed-wing platform
A 3,500 mm wingspan: 3.5 hours of flight, a 4,000 m ceiling and large areas covered in a single sortie.
Heavy-lift multirotor platform
A 20 kg take-off weight and 110 minutes aloft: a stable airborne platform for heavy sensors.
Airborne ground-penetrating radar
Orion 160S plus an SE-150 antenna: a 2,400-metre survey line per flight, without touching the ground.
Full cycle
We do not assemble aircraft from off-the-shelf kits — we design them, build their moulds, write their avionics and prove them in the field.
General layout, internal arrangement of units, airframe aerodynamics and lift coefficients are calculated in SolidWorks and RHINO.
Moulds, internal load-bearing structures and carbon/glass-fibre skins — this is where a light yet rigid airframe is born.
Professional 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC mills produce parts in metal, plastic and aviation plywood to exact tolerances.
Flight-control loop, 868 MHz telemetry link, autonomous waypoint navigation and the ground control station.
Photo and HD video cameras, NDVI sensors, thermal imagers, IR cameras, gas analysers and ground-penetrating radar — all adapted to a single airframe.
Operator training, field trials, warranty service and data-processing methodology complete every delivery.
Solutions
Aerial survey is not the goal but the tool. The client receives data good enough to act on.
The real state of a field — measured data, not guesswork.

Residency
Following the selection committee’s decision of 2 August 2019, QAZDRON was granted resident status at the Nazarbayev University Technopark. The company’s design bureau is located on the university campus.
Official partner, Hungary
A team with more than ten years of research, development and production experience in UL, LSA and VLA class aircraft. Localisation of large-assembly production of the two-seat Fusion 212 and Fusion 213 in Kazakhstan is under active development.
Research cooperation
Since 2022 the company has worked with the university on applying its systems in agriculture: NDVI crop monitoring, survey methodologies and field practice for students.
Joint development
A joint programme to build an unmanned aerial vehicle on the Fusion 212 airframe. Engineers from both companies are running development work on a jointly produced autopilot and its integration into the aircraft.
Working together
Monitoring, survey or joint development: our engineers will review your case and help select the platform and payload.
